In the story, Kora approaches different people who guide her on her quest to discover whanaungatanga.  This helps highlight all the different people our tamariki have in their environment to support them.

Weaving is a visual representation of the interconnection between the land, the people and their whakapapa.  Harvesting the harakeke plant demonstrates the understanding of kaitiakitanga and whanaungatanga. The korowai is an example of how a woven artefact accumulates the mana of each generation and becomes part of a whanau's story.  The woven kete is a symbol of the sharing of resources and knowledge that is at the heart of manaakitanga and aroha.
