I believe that the Bible is the Word of God
I am convinced that the Bible is the Word of God and can be proved to be so. As such that it is profitable for teaching for reproof and training in righteousness., it is a manual for living. "For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope." Rom 15:4 NIV
These notes are my observations as I read the Word of God and try to apply it to my life. God’s manual, the Bible, is perfect and applicable to me and you. Unlike Douglas Adam’s mice the Bible really does have the answers for life, the universe and everything.
However, and this is a big however, you also need to know that while I believe that the Bible is perfect, I do not believe that my understanding of the Bible is always true. The Bible teacher Chuck Missler, prefaced many of his teachings with Acts 17:11, the Bereans were more noble in that they received the word and searched the scriptures to see whether those things were true. As I am sure that you are noble and so I hope that you will also search the scriptures to see if what I say is true. I am human just like you, so errors are inevitable, but I do pray that these notes might help you as they have helped me while I created them.
Remember, there is a God who would love to communicate with you and these notes are intended to help you to deepen your relationship with Him. This relationship with our heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus will allow the Truth to be revealed to you.
So I am hoping that as you read my notes that you will catch some of my excitement for the scriptures and in the process deepen your relationship with the one that the Bible is all about. The Bible is History, HIS Story and if Jesus is not in the centre of these notes I will have failed.
That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. Ephesians 3:17-19
1 Corinthians 15:1-4
T1] Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2] By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3] For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4] And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures
